Helsinki Int, Finnish Winner Show 10.12.2006

It was time for the last dog show of this year. Traditionally, it was the Finnish Winner show, wich had always caught a great number of dogs and audience.

On Sunday the 10th we had both afghans and junior handling Finnish Championship Final to compete at. Afghans were judged by Allan Pepper from Canada. Heini showed Int Ch Neliapilan Uutisaihe 4th in the large champion class. Pihla had had a brake of 8 months because of the puppies and this was her first show since last April. Nevertheless, Pihla really showed herself out and enjoyed moving in the ring. Viona got excellent, but wasn't placed in the large champion class. Viona was also a part of Neliapilan breeder group, which ended up winning Best in Show!

During her eight-year-junior handling career Heini had achieved total 8 qualifications to the Finnish Championship finals and this year's final was the very last competition of hers ever. The final was judged by Finnish Tanja Hakamo. Heini did excellent job with super showy and charming afghan Sebaztian (Int Ch Ingenue Sebaztian) and they got placed 5th. The winner of this competition was a 12-year-old boy Paavo Tervonen with australian terrier, congratulations!

Heini can be proud of her long career as one of the most winning junior handlers in Finland. Heini achieved all the eight qualifications to the Finnish Championship Final and was the BIS-jr.handler in the huge competition of 130 competitors in Nordic Winner Show (Helsinki 2005). She was also very succesful abroad and handled and competed with dozens of different breeds.

Jyväskylä Int 19.11.2006

Jyväskylä International was again one of the biggest shows in Finland with over 5000 entries. Viona went Best Bitch 2nd and got res-Cacib with a fabulous critique under Karl-Erik Johansson from Sweden. Hilla also handled "Juice" (Int Ch Neliapilan Uutisaihe) who won Cacib & Best Male. Neliapilan breeder group went Best of Breed but wasn't placed in the finals.

Lahti speciality 29.10.2006

We went to Lahti to the speciality show for sighthounds and dachshunds. Afghans were judged by Markku Kipinä, Finland. This time, Viona went champion class 4th with excellent.

Oulu Int 7.10.2006

This time, afghans were judged by Wera Hübental from Sweden and Viona was again BB-2 and got res-Cacib. Neliapilan breeder group went BIS-3 under Hans v.d. Berg from Netherlands. While Heini won the junior handling competition with afghan "Hukkis" (Neliapilan Pikku-Hukka), Hilla was very glad to have an opportunity to visit Pihla's cheerful and lively daughter "Diiva" (Neliapilan Sydänkäpy) with Arja and Maija.

Tallinn Int, Estonian Winner 2006 20.8.2006

We had to go to Tallinn to find a ball dress for Heini and naturally, we chose a weekend during whitch there would also be a dog show. Viona got excellent, was placed 2nd in champion class and finally 3rd in the best bitch competition. Viona send huge congratulations to her little sister "Nasu" (Neliapilan Jukebox) for winning Cacib and Estonian Winner 2006 -title! The judge was Iren Naarits (kennel Oshanameh's) from Estonia. After the show we went shopping and did manage to find a lovely dress for Heini . :)

Mikkeli Int 30.07.2006

Markku Mähönen from Finland judged 9 males and 10 bitches today in Mikkeli. Viona was again 2nd in champion class and the best bitch -placement was 2nd this time. Viona also got res-Cacib.

Råneå sighthound speciality, Sweden 09.07.2006

Though the day was sunny and beautiful in Råneå, Sweden, Viona got only 1/1 without HP this time. The judge was Maria Teresa Durando Fassio from Italy.

Rovaniemi Int 25.06.2006

This time mom stayed home for waiting puppies to born and Hilla, Heini & our dad travelled to Rovaniemi Int show. Viona got excellent and was placed 2nd in the champion class. The happy news of the day, though, was again the great success of the Neliapilan breeder group which ended up BIS-1! Afghans were judged by Swedish Åke Cronander and breeder groups by Jochen Eberhardt from Germany. Viona sends special hugs and congratulations to her little brother Tohtori for winning his first Best of Breed, Cacib and Best in Group!

Helsinki Int European Winner Show 9.-11.6.2006

European Winner 2006 dog show was held in Helsinki Fair Centre and we attended it on Friday and Sunday.

Nearly 80 afghans around Europe had arrived to EUW 2006 -show to compete for European Winner 2006 -titles under Carlos Fernandez-Renau from Spain. Viona got 3rd place with excellent out of 10 champion bitches. This time the breed was won by a spanish male who finally ended up BIS-3!

On Friday Heini competed in junior handling with american cocker Patrick and the competition was judged by Finnish Kari Järvinen. There were nearly 60 competitors and only three of them were picked up for the final. This time it wasn't Heini & Patrick's day.

On Sunday the junior handling competition was judged by a succesful ex-junior handler Krista Kitti from Finland. Heini competed with silky Tami (Curiosity Stage Is Yours) for the second time. They did very well and won the ticket to the final in which there were the three best handlers of each day and 10 representatives sent by the different European Kennel Clubs. In final Marja Talvitie's choice for winner was professional Irish James Hammond who handled a wire-haired fox terrier. Congratulations! Heini and Tami didn't get placement, but even getting the qualification for the final was super!

Helsinki Int Aptus Show 20.-21.5.2006

Heini and Viona achieved their second BIS-2 junior handling win in a row at international Aptus Show in Helsinki. Junior handling competition was judged by Finnish Vesa Lehtonen and this time his choice for BIS junior handler was Paavo Tervonen with an australian terrier. Congratulations! On Sunday Heini competed with silky Tami (Curiosity Stage Is Yours) and they went 3rd under Meri Pakarinen from Finland. Viona was along with Neliapila's breeder group that was placed BIS-2 under Swedish Ingela Nilsson.

Heini ja Viona saavuttivat Aptus Showsta toisen peräkkäisen JH BIS-2-sijoituksen. Kilpailun tuomarina toimi Vesa Lehtonen ja hänen valintansa päivän parhaaksi junnuksi oli tällä kertaa Paavo Tervonen australianterrierinsä kanssa. Onnea! Sunnuntain SM-osakilpailussa Heini ja silkki Tami sijoittuivat hienosti kolmansiksi. Kilpailun tuomaroi Meri Pakarinen. Viona oli mukana jälleen Neliapilan kasvattajaluokassa, joka sijoittui tällä kertaa BIS-2:ksi! Parhaat kasvattajaluokat laittoi järjestykseen ruotsalainen Ingela Nilsson.

Lahti Int 22.-23.4.2006

At Lahti afghans were judged by Finnish whippet breeder Unto Timonen. Viona went 2nd in the champion class with excellent and was finally best bitch 4th. Pihla also got excellent but wasn't placed. Neliapila's breeder group was BIS-3 under Annukka Paloheimo from Finland. Heini competed in junior handling on both days but didn't get placements.

Lahdessa afgaanit arvosteli tänä vuonna Unto Timonen. Viona sijoittui valioluokan toiseksi erinomaisella ja oli loppujen lopuksi PN-4. Myös Pihla oli rotukehässä, mutta tällä kertaa sai vain sileän erinomaisen. Heini kilpaili molempina päivinä junior handlerissa, mutta kumpanakaan päivinä ei suoritus yltänyt sijoituksille asti. Viona oli lauantaina mukana myös Neliapilan kasvattajaryhmässä, joka sijoittui BIS-3 -sijalle suomalaisen Annukka Paloheimon arvostelemana.

Two International Shows in Lithuania 11.-12.3.2006

During our winter holiday Heini, Hilla and Pihla visited Lithuania since Pihla was entered to two international dog shows there. On Saturday afghans were judged by Janusz Opara from Poland and this time we really got luck! Pihla won her last CACIB to finish her INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION title! Additionally Pihla got Lithuanian CC which gave her Ltu Ch -title and what maked the day even perfect was the Lithuanian Winner 2006 -title that was given to the best male and the best female in each breed. There were also three other Neliapilan afghans from Finland in the show: Viona's brother Neliapilan Pikku-Hukka was BOB & BIG-4 and got Lithuanian Winner and Ltu Ch titles as well. Neliapilan Rötösherra was placed 3rd with excellent in the champion class and Neliapilan Jäänsärkijä (Viona's little brother) won the junior class and got the title Lithuanian Junior Winner 2006.

On Sunday the judge was Blaž Kavčič from Slovenia. This time Pihla got excellent and was 4th in the champion class. Neliapilan Rötösherra went 2nd in champion males and got also Res-Cacib which will turn to Cacib as the winner male already was an international champion. Neliapilan Jäänsärkijä competed this time in intermediate class and got his very first Cac. There were 19 afghans entered to the both shows.

Hilla, Heini ja Pihla lähtivät hiihtoloman kunniaksi näyttelyreissulle Liettuaan, jonne Pihla oli ilmoitettu kahteen peräkkäisinä päivinä järjestettävään KV-näyttelyyn. Matkamme alkoi torstaiaamuna ensin Kajaanista kohti Oulua, josta matka jatkui Rovaniemeltä aamulla matkaan lähteneellä linja-autolla kohti Helsinkiä. Yksi yö kului laivassa ja perjantaipäivä meni matkustaessa läpi Viron ja Latvian. Klo 20-21 välillä perjantai-iltana pitkä matka oli vihdoin takana ja saavuimme Liettuan pääkaupunkiin Vilnaan.

Lauantaina oli vuorossa Liettuan Voittaja 2006 -näyttely, jossa afgaanit arvosteli puolalainen Janusz Opara ja mukaan oli ilmoittautunut yhteensä 19 koiraa. Hilla esitti urosten junioriluokassa Vionan pikkuveljen Tohtorin (Neliapilan Jäänsärkijä) ja erinomaisen myötä irtosi myös Liettuan Juniorivoittaja 2006-titteli. Seuraavaksi meidän suomalaisista Neliapilan afgaaneista olivat vuorossa Benno (Neliapilan Rötösherra) ja Vionan veli Hukkis (Neliapilan Pikku-Hukka). Benno sijoittui luokassaan kolmanneksi Hukan voittaessa valiourokset. Hukka sai Sertin ja Cacibin, uudet tittelit Ltu Ch ja LtuV-06, sekä valittiin rotunsa parhaaksi.

Meidän osaltamme päivän kohokohta oli ehdottomasti Pihlan kehä. Pihla voitti tiukan kilpailun jälkeen narttujen valioluokan saaden niin ikään Sertin ja Cacibin ja sinetöi samalla KANSAINVÄLISEN MUOTOVALION arvon!!!!!! Lisäksi titteliriviin tuli täydennystä Liettuan muotovalion ja Liettuan Voittajan 2006 verran. Päivän päätteeksi Hukka sijoittui vielä vinttikoiraryhmässä hienosti neljänneksi!

Sunnuntaina Pihla sijoittui valioluokassa neljänneksi erinomaisella laatuarvosanalla. Benno sai hienosti Vara-Cacibin, joka tulee vahvistumaan Cacibiksi ja Tohtori voitti nuortenluokan saavuttaen samalla ensimmäisen Sertinsä.

Kotimatka alkoi sunnuntai-iltana ja perille Kajaaniin saavuimme lopulta maanantain ja tiistain välisenä yönä. Matka oli pitkä ja raskas, mutta sitäkin upeampi! Kiitos Muru ja Pauliina, "isoäiti ja hänen assistenttinsa", mukavasta seurasta ja hyvästä huolenpidosta! ;) Pihlalta suukkoja Bennolle ja Tohtorille!

We went to Tallinn Int Show with Pihla. This was the first trip abroad this year and everything went like we had hoped! Pihla was BOS, got CACIB and became Est Ch! Afghans were judged by Knut-Sigurd Willberg from Norway.

Vuoden ensimmäinen näyttelyreissu Suomen rajojen ulkopuolelle suuntasi tiensä Tallinnaan. Reissuun mukaan lähti tällä kertaa ainoastaan Pihla. Afgaanit arvosteli Norjalainen Knut-Sigurd Willberg. Liukkaista lattioista, liikkuvista matoista ja Heinin kuumeesta ja mahataudista huolimatta tulokset olivat juuri sitä, mitä niiden toivottiinkin olevan: Pihla oli VSP, saaden CACIBin ja uuden tittelin Est Ch!

Heti afgaanikehän jälkeen lähdimme Tallinnan keskustaan shoppailemaan ja tavoitteena olikin löytää Hillalle puku Wanhojen Tansseihin, jotka olisivat viikon päästä. Mekko löytyi ja pääsimme tyytyväisinä palaamaan takaisin kotiin.
