What an exciting day with excellent results!

Pihla's two black sons were the first to be proud of as Sepe (Neliapilan Sudenhetki) and Peku (Neliapilan Syntipukki) were the first and the second in the junior males' class with Excellent. By winning the junior class, Sepe also achieved his first title: Finnish Junior Winner 2007. Sepe also got res-CAC later.

Pihla's silver son Tarek (Neliapilan Sata Salamaa) attended to a dog show for the 3rd time ever. He seems to enjoy showing himself as the two black boys also, carrying himself proud and showy! Tarek won the intermediate class with Excellent and finally was placed 4th in the best male competiton - right after three handsome international champion males! Tarek took also his first CAC and gained it in style in a tough competition!

Int Ch Neliapilan Uutisaihe "Juice", a gorgeous black male who Heini has been handling for two years now, was the best male and got the title FinW-07 (this time handled by Arja the breeder, though) and was qualified to be the #1 male in Finland 2007. Heini is happy and proud of this handsome boy!

Then, it was the girls' turn. Lucia won the junior bitches' class with Excellent and gained also the Finnish Junior Winner 2007 - title. We're happy as both of the JW-titles went to our Pihla's children! Lucia also got a res-CAC!

The day ended up to be excellent as Viona won the champion class, the best bitch competition, Cacib and finally the judge Marjatta Pylvänäinen-Suorsa chose Viona to be Best of Breed! This gave Viona a new title: Finnish Winner 2007 and also qualified her to be the #1 Afghan in Finland 2007 (pending for Sa-Fa's confirmation). Thank you all who made this possible!

Lahti Int 28.10.2007

The second international show for this year held in Lahti was in autumn. Afghans were judged by a Dutch judge Andre vd Broek who placed Viona third in the champion class with excellent. Viona was later placed 4th in the best bitch -competition. Pihla's beautiful golden daughter Miisa (Neliapilan Seitsemäs Käsky) got her first CAC - Well done!!!

Kennel Neliapilan had once again BOB-breeder group and finally BIS-breeder under Italian Francesco Cochetti. This international show was the last show that counts to the competition of the best breeder in Finland (all breeds) and the win in such big competition qualyfied kennel Neliapilan to be THE #1 BREEDER IN FINLAND!!! Huge congratulations to the breeders Arja & Maija! We are proud that our Viona was given chance to take part in all of the breeder's group competitions that gave the winning points to Neliapilan afghans!

Vantaa all-breed show 1.9.2007

At this year's Let's Go show afghans were judged by Ove Germundsson from Sweden. This time, Viona's result was EXC/3 in champion bitches. What really made our day was the Best in Show win that Neliapilan breeders group managed to reach!

Joensuu all-breed show 11.8.2007 & Joensuu Int. 12.8.2007

An all-breed show and an International show in one town in one weekend - what a great way to spend the last days of the summer holiday! On Saturday, afghans competed under Nils Molin, Sweden. Viona's result was BB-2 and Lucia got the 2nd place in junior bitches with VG. On Sunday, afghans were judged by Markku Mähönen. Viona was awarded as the best bitch for the 8th time this year! She also got her 12th CACIB!

Vantaa all-breed show 28.7.2007

Viona had got nice success again as she was placed as the best bitch and BOS by Mark Cocozza, GB. Mr. Cocozza didn't like our sweet Lucia at all, but both Pihla's son Sepe (Neliapilan Sudenhetki) and Pihla's daughter Miisa (Neliapilan Seitsemäs Käsky) reached really nice placements. Sepe went to the 4th place in males and Miisa ended up as the 4th best bitch and received a res-CAC.

Kokkola Int 15.7.2007

We spent a rainy day in an international dog show in Kokkola. 17+13 afghans attended the show where they were judged by Italian Claudio de Giuliani. Lucia showed herself great and won the junior class, but this time she got only "very good" in the qualitative judging. Despite the rain we finally had such a nice day after all: Viona was BOB, got her 11th CACIB and was placed as the 4th best sighthound in the show by Rita Reyniers from Belgia. Neliapilan breeders group was BOB again.

The first birthday of Pihla's puppies 27.6.2007

Helsinki, Finnish Afghan Club National Speciality 9.6.2007

We had such a warm day in beautiful Tuomarinkartano in Helsinki, where Afghan's national speciality show was held. As a result we had at least a beautiful tan!

The day started with puppies and juniors, who were judged by Swedish Per Lundström. Again, we were very happy and proud, as all the Pihla's children who attended the show got excellent. Boys Tarek (Neliapilan Sata Salamaa) and Sepe (Neliapilan Sudenhetki) took a double win in junior males, Sepe ended up winning BIS-junior!! In bitches both Lucia and Miisa (Neliapilan Seitsemäs Käsky) got excellent and were placed as 2nd and 3rd in the class. All of the children got critics to be proud of!

Adult afghans were judged by Norwegian Åke Gjetnes, who didn't quite like our Pihla, who was way too heavy-built for his taste. Viona got excellent and was third in champion bitches.

Iisalmi all-breed show 26.5.2007

This time we had a dog show within a very short distance, in Iisalmi, which is about 80 kilometres from Kajaani to the south. Afghans were judged by Stefan Sinko from Slovenia. Pihla's son Peku (Neliapilan Syntipukki) did great job by winning the junior class with excellent. Finally this young handsome boy was placed as the second best male and he also gained his very first CAC at the age of 11 months! (On the next day in Parainen Pihla's other son "Sepe" Neliapilan Sudenhetki was also the 2nd best male in his first show in official classes. Sepe also got res-CAC.) We are very proud of Pihla's beautiful children as all of them have started their show career very well!! Our own girls Lucia and Viona were also both shown, Lucia winning junior bitches with excellent and Viona finally ending up second in the best bitch competition. In the second the best of breed had been chosen, it started to rain, so we decided to go back home right away.

Oulu all-breed show 12.5.2007

The first outdoor show of the year was traditionally held in Oulu today. Even though the weather was freezing, the results we got made us feel even a bit warmer. Lucia competed in junior class for the second time and after winning the class with excellent she also gained her first best bitch placement and a res-CAC. Viona won BOS and was only beaten by a handsome afghan gentleman Int Ch Neliapilan Uutisaihe "Juice", who also won the group competition a bit later with Heini. Afghans were judged by Martin Baskaran, Spain.

Vaasa Int 15.4.2007

We visited Vaasa International show with Viona and Lucia. Viona was the one to take part in the competition and Lucia was just practising as a tourist. Afghans were judged by Frances Hickey from Ireland. Viona ended up EXC/3 in champion bitches. Neliapilan Breeder group won BIS-1 again, this time under Marja Talvitie from Finland.

Tampere Int 25.3.2007

What a day Viona had, again! This year, Viona has been to three international shows and three times she has won Best Bitch & Cacib. This time, the judge was Barbara Ruth Smith from USA. In this huge show with over 7000 entries there were over 50 afghans. To make the day perfect, Neliapilan breeder group won BIS-1 under Hans Lehtinen, Finland!

Wanhojen tanssit - Ball for the oldest students 16.2.2007

The traditional ball "Wanhojen tanssit" for the oldest secondary school students in Kajaani was held in Kajaanihalli on Friday the 16th of February. Heini danced in a golden ball dress with her friend Timo.

Silva 9v. sairastui vakavasti loppiaisen aikaan. Tilanne näytti jo todella epätoivoiselta, kun lääkäritkään eivät aluksi löytäneet syytä äkilliselle kunnon huononemiselle ja veriarvojen rajulle laskulle. Viimemetreillä syy onneksi löytyi, ja pahasta märkäkohdusta selvittiin leikkauksella torstaina 11. tammikuuta. Nyt Silva toipuu jo hyvää vauhtia ja virkistyy päivä päivältä enemmän! :)
